Step
1 Remove the coffee ground and filter from the coffee maker. Now mix one half
cup of vinegar with four cups of water. Then pour it inside the coffee maker.
Now turn on the coffee maker in order for the vinegar and water to run through
all the parts of the coffee maker. If the coffee maker has drained all the
liquid then turn off the coffee maker, it will take for about 30 minutes for
the coffee maker to cool down.
Step
2 Drain out the coffee pot and remember not to use the vinegar and water
mixture. Do the first step again. This would make the coffee maker super clean.
Observe the first solution is in yellowish color, so this time the mixture
would be perfectly clear. Keep in mind that the only things that you are using
are water and vinegar. Do not use detergent or bleach. It would make the coffee
taste weird.
Step
3 Get four cups of water and pour in the coffee pot. Turn on the coffee maker,
it is like the same step but this time you are only using water. You can skip
the second step if you want to, however, in my opinion you should consider
doing the second step to be very sure that the coffee maker is clean. After the
cleaning process is done, turn off the coffee maker wait for it to cool down
for about 3o minutes. Then rinse the coffee pot with warm water. Do not use
cold water; you do not want to break your coffee maker. Use mild dish washing
detergent and a sponge to clean the pot and filter cup.
Step
4 Use a wet rug to clean the outside part of the coffee maker and the heating
pad. Remove all the dust or stain in the coffee maker you can use mild washing
detergent in the outside part of the coffee maker just remember to rinse it
properly to avoid chemical reaction when the coffee maker is heated.
Step
5 Put together all the parts and place a new paper filter for the next usage of
the coffee maker. Make sure that the coffee pot is dry and ready to use.
